Hagstone Pottery was founded five years ago by Jacqueline Rappaport in the grounds of Tews Farm, rural Northamptonshire.
Jacqueline uses traditional slipware techniques to create functional tableware and decorative pieces - some wheel thrown, some hand-built or hand-pressed - with a strong and distinctive contemporary flavour: everyday art which is tactile, bold and satisfying.
Jacqueline also produces a range of 'quieter' pottery, with spots and stripes harking back to the kind of traditional slipware which is synonymous with the English westcountry, but with a fresh feel and a strong tactile quality.
Hagstone Pottery, along with a small collection of contemporary ceramic and stainless-steel jewellery, can be found in shops and galleries around the UK, or can be purchased directly from the Hagstone Pottery studio shop.
Mail order is available and commissions are welcome.
